Ora-Igbomina Youths Dismiss APC Claims, Reaffirm Support for Governor Adeleke’s Re-election

The attention of Ora-Igbomina youths has been drawn to the statement credited to the APC in Ifedayo. While ordinarily we would not have dignified a statement so bereft of substance with a response, the need to correct the false impressions it may have created among unsuspecting members of the public has compelled us to react.

In Ifedayo, over 90% of indigenes and residents stand firmly with Governor Adeleke, and that support continues to grow organically by the day, owing to the Governor’s exceptional leadership, people-oriented policies, and the unprecedented dividends of democracy being delivered across the local government.

One of the cardinal campaign promises of Governor Adeleke was to restore our water supply and rehabilitate our long-neglected roads, and the Governor has demonstrated undiluted commitment to fulfilling those promises. Rather than appreciating these remarkable interventions, the Ifedayo APC appears embittered that what their party failed to accomplish in 12 years is being achieved by Governor Ademola Adeleke through purposeful and responsive governance. It is this frustration, no doubt, that has given birth to the watery and uninspiring statements they continue to churn out.

We, from the Ora-Igbomina Youths Frontline and indeed the entire youth population of Ora-Igbomina, understand the essence and nuances of good governance and remain profoundly appreciative of the developmental strides of the Governor. Under no circumstance shall we allow the APC’s falsehoods and distorted narratives to gain traction. The Governor has delivered several kilometres of roads in Ifedayo, commenced work on the long-abandoned roads leading to Ora-Igbomina, and has consistently prioritised youth development within the council. This stands in stark contrast to the APC, which has historically treated our local government as nothing more than a political pawn, only remembered when electoral interests are at stake.

The Ora-Igbomina Youths Frontline therefore wishes to urge the good people of Ifedayo not to be swayed by the propaganda and deceptive rhetoric of the APC. We are fully aware that these individuals neither represent the aspirations of our people nor genuinely desire the progress and prosperity of Ifedayo Local Government.

We wish to unequivocally assure the performing and people-centred Governor that Ifedayo remains solidly behind his re-election bid, and we are fully prepared to mobilise vigorously, massively, and relentlessly to ensure a resounding victory at the polls.
